When you get up early to study…

What happens when, you get up early especially to study and….there is no power???

If I would have been younger and the situation would have arrived, I would have probably felt very happy! Who wants to study here?
Situation hasn’t changed much though after growing up.

But then, an idea popped in my head, thanks to my blog! It is only because I am blogging, I thought of it and instead of studying, I ended up doing this –

And what more? I read this  thought in newspaper yesterday –

Two Words for Two Weeks

Okay, because I didn’t share any word last week, this week i am going to share two words, both from S’ word list!

1. Sequester

It is a verb which means to retire from  public life or just to seclude oneself.
The word, although, is used in normal terms, it is also used in law –  relating to the seizure of property and in scientific terms relating separating Carbon dioxide from atmosphere, the process is called Carbon sequestration.

The coal burning plant was ordered to sequester its CO2 emissions.

2. Serendipity

This is a nice one. It means gift for finding valuable or desirable things by accident!

The word is said to formed  from the Persian fairy tale The Three Princes of Serendip, whose heroes “were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things they were not in quest of”. 🙂

Now, the book I am referring had this one nice sentence using the word. It is
Many scientific discoveries as matter of serendipity. Newton was not sitting there thinking about gravity when the apple dropped on his head! 😉

Have a nice wee ahead!!

Is it possible?

Is it possible, to cut a small piece of your life, as if you never lived it?
As if those things never happened to you?
As if you never met those people?
Never said those things? Never ever heard them either?

As if everything is just normal,
Just like it was before…

Babu gets the Doll!!

The family was having lunch happily. Mother came and sat on steps outside the hotel, in verandah. Babu followed her with his marbles. He started playing their. He forgot about the dolls completely, and was playing marbles with full concentration.

After some time though, the girls finished their lunch. Getting bored inside, the came in verandah, of course with their dolls, and started observing Babu play. They too had never played marbles before. Although they remembered their cousin having once, by mistakenly, brought to their house in his pocket.
Babu saw the girls watching him play. He pretended as if he didn’t know and continued to play. Although he wanted to get a proper look at the dolls he didn’t. The mother told girls to seat beside her and started asking if they liked the food. They didn’t speak, just nodded assertively.

Soon after, rest all elders too finished their lunch and came out. Mother walked inside to give bills and other formalities. The mom and the granny and the driver came out. Driver went near the car while mom and granny waited outside. As the dad came out, Babu realized too many people are watching him; he soon picked up all his marbles and filled them in his pocket.

“Let us go girls” Dad said. The family went near the car and one by one, they took their seats. Both the girls took a window seat. Babu saw them leaving, with their dolls. He had still not seen them that clearly. And probably, he will never ever get a chance to see again. He stood there looking at them. All the car doors shut one after the other. And the car left. Babu, still stood there without any motion, feeling gloomy.

But then, he saw something, fallen on the ground where the car was. “Is it….?” Babu ran there to get a closer look and yes it was one of the dolls! The girls sitting at the other window had let it slip from her hand! And now Babu too had a doll! 🙂

Kreativ Blogger Award!!

A Kreativ blogger award from a Kreativ blogger!! Thank you so much Nabdip!!
It’s a first blogging award I am receiving!

First of all I would like to thank all fellow bloggers and non-bloggers (yes, I am talking about you!) Who regularly visit my blog, like my posts and share their comments! It really encourages me to write more, and also to be more kreativ (at least that is what the award says!!)

Before I say more about the award, I have a snap to share.
I had just checked my blog and I was so happy to have received the award! I was wandering in my house, roaming from one room to other just smiling for no reason! When I went to our balcony, I spotted a butterfly, and I thought of clicking of it! Thought of showing off some Kreativity 😉

Nature is so very ….. 🙂
As per the award rules, I have to

🙂 Thank the person who gave you this award, which I don’t mind doing it once again. Thanks Nabdip for the award!

🙂 List 7 things about yourself
1. I am a huge Harry Potter fan (both books and movies) and Friends series fan too! I just get excited if some one starts either of the topics 🙂
2. I love rains! 😀
3. I can talk to strangers more easily and frankly then people who I know partially, 50-50.
4. I cannot hit anyone. I used to do it when I was younger, but don’t remember exactly, since when (and why) I stopped doing it, and completely lost the ability to do so. 😦
 5. I am a Libran, and I love this fact. We generally hear only good things about Librans!!
6. I envy small kids, they have so beautiful life! They haven’t seen the world yet, so they aren’t aware of the worst things, so they don’t know about the worst possibilities in doing something or not doing something. So they can do or not do anything happily!
7. People say I look innocent. Well, that’s not the point. The point is, I like it when they say so! 😉
🙂  List 10 bloggers to pass on the award.

A Word A Week – Vicissitude

This week’s word is –

It is another beautiful word. It means changes of fortune, life’s ups and downs.

The etymology of vicissitude comes from Latin, vicissim, meaning, “in turn”, and later in Fr., vicis meant “change,” “alternation,” “stead”

Life becomes more beautifu and interesting with ups and downs, but  I hope that it always ends on good note 🙂

Ex:  The only two left are tall and ancient trees that have outlived a thousand political vicissitudes.

And once again, I give up…

This time, it’s Salsa. To be more precise it’s Cuban salsa. Frankly speaking, dance is not my cup of tea. I cannot leave my body freely and twist on even a simple song. But what I feel is, as a girl, I am supposed to know a bit of dancing, at least tip – toeing, freely. But alas! I have lost this battle…just like many others!

Relating to dance, I had also tried learning classical dance, when I was in school. Why I stopped it? Is an altogether a different story. When I had joined it first, it was really interesting. My dance teacher’s pace was good and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we shifted to other place and so I had to join another class. I did so with lot of enthusiasm. But then, here the overall teaching speed was quite slow. It really bored me. Moreover, the other students were quite younger than me who were comfortable with the speed and danced with much more keenness and enthusiasm. And yes, they did better than me. Still I continued for three years and finally left it.

It’s not just dancing; I have tried many other things like singing, playing harmonium, gymnastics, athletics, cricket, drawing, yoga. But except yoga, I didn’t find anything interesting (although I feel sports is always fun, but you don’t have to learn it!).

But my point is, many people have given me the title of ‘Jack’, 😦 “The Jack of all trades and master of none”

I really don’t mind it because I don’t care. I feel I am lucky to have tried out so many things. Actually I am luck because my parents let me try out so many things. I might not know what I like yet, but at least I know what all things I don’t want to do. Besides I also know that the athletes run on toes not on entire foot, that I can swim and survive in case of emergency, the meaning of various hand gestures of classical Indian dance, that Salsa is done on three counts, which are the octaves of a harmonium, that my body is quite flexible, that how our daily routine must be (I got to know this in Yoga class), that my knowledge of cricket is much more than many other girls!

So I prefer the entire saying –
“Jack of all trades, master of none,
certainly better than a master of one” 😉 😀

I know I am giving excuses. Maybe I am talking like a loser. But I really cannot help it. If you want to do something, you have to work hard. And it becomes easier to work hard if you find it interesting. There are already so many things in our life for which we have to work hard without liking them, and this are extra things, I got to know what I love before putting efforts, otherwise their purpose will not be achieved, which is to have fun right, no?

Still I haven’t lost hope. Now, I am learning French! But I like it and I really hope that my interest stays till I clear at least 2 levels of DELF! And  there are so many other things yet to try out, if I give up on French one day 🙂
