Weekly Photo Challenge – Illumination

I loved this topic of Weekly photo challenge
I love the warm feeling the lights give, the brightness it stands for, cheerfulness it spreads around… All this makes me forget the electricity bill meter that keeps on revving πŸ˜‰

The photo I am sharing is of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Ganesh festival that we celebrate here in India. It mostly falls in the month of August. We bring a statue of Lord Ganesh for 2,5,6,7,10 or 11 days and then immerse it in sea. He is consider our guest for these many days.

And so we organize, decorate our house to welcome our guest.

We decorated our house like this…If you can see gilded square thing in the center? That’s where we rested the Ganesh’s statue. Unfortunately, I do not have his pic sitting there. Although I have another one, just for you to know who is Ganesh…
